Amai

“Oh, a dream! Let’s hear all about it!”
~ Grandmother Willow

Amai means ‘mother’ in Shona. This sculpture is drawn from real life women and children in Zimbabwe, Africa. The child holding the mother’s hand is actually based on an orphan, but in this piece Anna has joined them together creating a family scene.

This piece will be shown at an upcoming exhibition in Zimbabwe in 2023.

Cast in bronze using traditional lost wax process
Limited edition of 12
